Traders donate 3 Sienna buses to Zone 13, Ukpo

The Assistant Inspector General of Police In Charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Mr Danmallam Mohammed says the Nigeria Police will continue to do everything within the ambit of the law to ensure that lives and property of people in Anambra and Enugu states are protected.

He made the promise when he took delivery of Three Sienna vehicles donated to the Zone by traders at Drug and Medicine International Market , Bridge Head Onitsha.

Security of lives and property no doubt is every bodies business.

This explains why traders at the medicine dealers International market, popularly called Ogbogwu , Bridhe head , Onitsha decided to contribute their own social responsibility by donating three operational vehicles to the newly created Zone 13 to enable the officers and men in their task of policing the area.

The Chairman of the Market, Chief Donatus Ajamma wile commending the Security consciousness of the state government under governor Willie Obiano said the vehicles was to strengthen the security operations of the zone .

According to him, the traders have come to realise the importance of security to the ease of doing business hence their resolve to contribute their quota towards the overall development of the state.

In a remark, the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce , Mr Uchenna Okafor noted that business can only thrive where there is security , hence the resolve of the Anambra State government to provide a conducive environment for residents.

Mr Okafor therefore commended the traders for their kind gesture towards the realisation of the state government ideology which is providing adequate security through effective policing .

The Deputy Commissioner of police in charge of Criminal Investigation Department, Mr Echeng Echeng, said the Zone will continue to partner the public in its resolve to provide security to the people and thanked the traders for their understanding.

Receiving the keys to the three vehicles, the Assistant Inspector General of Police , Mr Danmallam Mohammed expressed his resolve towards ensuring that those in Enugu and Anambra states continue to have a conducive crime free society which in turn guarantees the ease of doing business in the area.

Mr Mohammed who expressed happiness over the donation said the vehicles will go a long in assisting the Police in responding to security situations across the area.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of the car keys and other office furniture donated by the medicine dealers at Ogbogwu International Market, Onitsha.
