“Excellence deserves recognition, and dedicated service should always be celebrated.” These words aptly captured the atmosphere at the National Secretariat of Anambra Patriots in Awka on Sunday, as members of the socio-political pressure group gathered to celebrate three of their distinguished members recently appointed and reappointed to strategic positions by the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

The colourful event brought together the state executive, local government and ward executives of the organisation, alongside government officials, political stakeholders and well-wishers, to honour individuals whose appointments have further demonstrated the capacity and quality of members of the group.

The honourees were Arch. Okey Ezeobi, who was reappointed by Governor Soludo as Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure after serving as the Managing Director of the Anambra State Bureau for Public Procurement during the governor’s first tenure; Chief Damian Enekwechi (Ozo Ejiamatu n’Nise An’Iyi), who was recently elected President of the Anambra Country Club; and Hon. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), who was reappointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State ICT Agency.
