Re-Laying Of Asphalt Commences On Ekwueme Square – New Government House Road, Awka
The road leading to Ekwueme square from the Enugu -Onitsha express road is now wearing a look befitting to the new Anambra state Government House being constructed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.One side of the road has been tarred close to X fit axis of the road.Men of GELD construction firm were seen in their numbers while articulated vehicles carrying alpha were see on the road.
Speaking to the press, the foreman of the site, Engineer Emmanuel ThankGod said the width of the asphalt is fourteen meters while the thickness is five meters to compact to four meters which he said is relay asphalt.
Engineer ThankGod added that they have completed asphalt on the other side of the road close to the new Government House with six meters compacted to five meters.
He said they are working hard to meet up with the deadline given to them by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
