The Federal Government says it will seek compensation for Nigerians whose businesses and properties were abandoned or lost during past xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

Officials say the move is part of renewed diplomatic engagements aimed at addressing unresolved economic losses and strengthening protection for Nigerians abroad.
