Federal Government Approves Major NYSC Overhaul: New Orientation Structure, Streams, Uniform
The Federal Government has approved sweeping reforms of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), introducing a redesigned orientation programme, new career streams and a fresh uniform.
The orientation course will now run for six weeks in three phases covering civic training, financial literacy and specialised skill development.
Corps members will also choose from 11 career streams, including tech, health, education and security, while deployment will factor in security conditions across states.
