On the assertion that People’s Club of Nigeria International, one of the globally notable club in Nigeria is no longer in existence, its President, Chief Fidelix Onyebueke(Aja eji eje mba) has waved the notion, insisting that the clubs is now stronger as it was.

Onyebueke made the disclosure at Umudioka, Dunukofia Local Government Area Anambra State, during the installation of the ex-chairman of Sugar Land branch, United States of America, High Chief Sir, Dr. Obinna Nelson Mbachu, as a patron of Sugar Land of the club

He further stated that they have one branches in Canada, one in London, and 30 in America, unlike before, noting that the club is intact, waxing stronger and stronger, adding that they are into evangelization now so that people will know that they still exist.

Onyebueke while advising the newly installed patron, stated that patronship is given on merit, informing him, “That you have been installed a patron of this revered club does not mean you are above the President of the club, officers and other distinguished members. You can’t be higher than the President of the club,” he warned.

Describing Chief Mbachu, Onyebueke said he is a distinguished personality and a man of integrity, noting that People’s Club is a distinguished club and a member is a distinguished person.

“He was a chairman in Houston branch and founder of Sugar branch, where he was a two time chairman. So he merits to be patron of the Sugar Land branch of the club,” the President stated.

“Mbachu is the first to be installed a patron this year, he established so many branches in US, unlike before we came in. We refer to him as chairman emeritus,” he stated.
