Onwupenata Pledges For More Community Service …As Igwe Emelobe Confers Chieftaincy Title, Okokwu 1 On Him

A philanthropist, illustrious son of Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nze Onwupenata Godwin Ifeanyi (Obata onua Oba) on 7th Jan pledged for more community service as Oba Traditional Ruler, Igwe Engr.Augustine Chinedu Emelobe conferred him with Chieftaincy title of Ichie Okokwu 1 of Oba.
Onwupenata, a hotelier made the disclosure at his compound in Uruokokwu Umuogali village during the celebration of the Chieftaincy honour bestowed on him.
He stated that the conferment of Chieftaincy titles on illustrious sons of Oba will make them to work with the traditional ruler of the town to ensure peace, unity and development in the community, adding that the honour bestowed on him will spur him to do more.
Onwupenata who was flanked by his wife, Lolo, Idiogo Cynthia, (Ugogbe Obiaomee) paid glowing tribute to Igwe Emelobe for finding him worthy to be honored, he also thanked those who contributed in one way or the other to the honour given to him.
Reacting, the former President General of Oba Akanano Union, Nze Dozie Nweke, described Onwupenata as a man of the people, a philanthropist who always seeks for peace in Oba and contributes in the development of the community.
He added that Onwupenata is loved by the people of Oba and has been playing major roles for the good of the community, an industrialist and a gift to the community, noting that it is the reason Igwe Emelobe find him worthy to be honoured.
In his words, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Juliemon Global Resources Real Estate Ltd, Dr. Ejike Madunagu, disclosed that Onwupenata, is his good friend and he (Madunagu) was also honoured with the Chieftaincy title same time.
He noted that with this honour done to them as youths, that there will be rapid development in Oba, disclosed that he was conferred with the Chieftaincy title of “Ichie Obamaka,” by the monarch.
In his contribution, Chief Malachy Ezegwu from Achina, revealed that Onwupenata has been his friend of about 25 years, pointing out that he is a philanthropist and peace lover who always stands for the truth.
“He is loved by everybody and not selfish. He always thinks of how to move forward and believes in the truth. He has been involved in so many developmental projects of the community and has assisted scores of youths in human capital development,” he revealed.
Also the President of Ngbo Youths, Nze Onochie Nwadinso Ejibendu, stated that the celebrant, Onwupenata, who is now Ichie Okokwu 1, of Oba, has been assisting for the development of Oba prior to his being honoured by the monarch.
“Onwupenata now Ichie Okokwu 1, owner of Kaima hotel, industrialist and estate developer, is loved by all. He has been assisting Oba to develop and also has given employment to scores,” he stated.
The event was graced by the Clergymen whom one of them anointed the celebrant and the wife, Politicians, Captains of industries, Business Moguls, Estate Developers among others.
Dances by women group, presentations of gifts to the celebrant, masquerades display, added colour to the event.
