The Labour Party, LP, has threatened to muster protests around Nigeria, alleging that election results are being altered by the opposition in Abia and Enugu States.

This was made known in a statement signed by the party’s national chairman, Julius Abure, on Sunday.

Abure claimed that supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia state have held some Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) staff hostage at Obingwa LGA.

Labour Party also accused the PDP in Enugu of tampering with results of the governorship election.

“The Labour Party had thoroughly reviewed all infractions and we have vowed to never again allow the use of foul means to usurp power as it was done in the past and merely ask us to go to court.

“If this is not addressed, we will be left with no choice other than to mobilise Obidients all over the country to take over the streets across the length and breadth of the country,” the statement read in part.
