A special need child of God -Tobi Samuel

Special needs (or additional needs) refers to individuals who require assistance for disabilities that may be medical, mental, or psychological. E.g blind children, disabled e.t.c

Every parent has to give twice sometimes three times the work they would give to a normal child to a special need child.

A special need child, is usually not the normal kind of child, they are slow, weak and faces a lot of physiological issues compare to the normal child.

Special need children of God are the weakest of God’s children but the truth is they are loved the same.

It take a special care child twice as long to get the result a normal child gets. They have to be trusted before they can do better and patience was a word generated for them to grow in anything.

I am not ashamed to say I am a special need child of God. I am weak, slow and I don’t grow like every other child. It takes me twice the energy to build a prayer life, study life and work on my self.

I struggle with my relationship with God and his Love for me. But being a special need child I have had the opportunity to see Gods love and his character a little different from what the normal child sees.

Because to me his love is real and patient, his love is hopeful, he tells me I am better even when I fall, he is always beside me to make sure I achieve what I want to though really slow.

He whispers in ears that the speed does really matter, what matters is that I will become what he has designed me to become. My disabilities and inadequacies is not a dysfunction but an avenue for me to do it differently.

It’s natural to get love and praises when you win and you are in the right direction all the time , but is it abnormal to get more amount of love and concentration when all you do is just fail.

When I see his love for me I am not ashamed of my disssabilities, and I am proud to say I am his special need child. Because down here the love is more real.
