Culture, Elegance At Gloria Chinecherem Enyi, Emmanuel Chinonso Akachukwu Traditional Marriage Ceremony

It was a blend of elegance, culture and tradition at the Traditional Marriage ceremony between former Miss Gloria Chinecherem Enyi, a lawyer and Mr Emmanuel Chinonso Akachukwu on Friday 20th December ,2024 at Enugu ,Enugu State, Nigeria. They have been united as one family. Once again, Enugu State gains from Anambra via marriage.
The traditional reception was gathering of family, friends and well wishers from all walks of life and from different states of Nigeria and beyond celebrating the union made in heaven.
The Bride’s father, Mr Godwin Obasanya kicked off the ceremony with special prayers after the groom from Enugu State has fulfilled all the marriage rights, traditions and customs of Oba Community, Idemili South, Anambra State.
The Bride’s father , Mr Godwin Obasanya known as Nwagadikaibeya n’Oba in Idemili South local government area of Anambra state said his heart was full of joy that his second daughter is getting married, praying for more celebrations in their lives and lives of his inlaws as well as the lives of the new and latest couple in town.
Mr. Obasanya prayed to God to grant the couple good life and health, saying: “as the father of the bride ,I pray that it shall be well with them . If they are making a thousand naira in a day ,it will multiply by four or five and they will live long in good health. What they will eat, will not be a problem to them ,and in nine months from today, you will here the voice of a baby in Jesus name”. An echo of “Ameeeeeeeeen!, greeted the prayer.
For the elated Bride’s mother , Dr. Mrs. Chocolate Obasanya Enyi, who could not control her happiness and joy that her beloved second daughter got married in grand style, it was a moment of testimony and glory to God for His continued love and mercy to her family.
Dr. Mrs. Obasanya Enyi said:”Today, I feel honoured because she is my second daughter and I have them two. Now, they are all married .My first daughter married two years ago and the second today, so, I am highly honoured.
My prayer for them is that as God granted the first one happy marriage with children ,God will also grant this my second daughter too, happy marriage with children.
“I have advised her already to be respectful, especially not thinking that she is equal to the husband but allowing the husband to take the authority of the house as written in the book of 1st Corinthians chapter 11. So, let respect be her watchword. That’s what I told her.
“My advice to any young girl out there is first of all, let your behaviour be the number one thing you will carry. Do not take beauty or money because those ones can fail you .Your behavior is the lasting character that attracts.
On her part, the mother of the Bridegroom, Mrs Ijeoma Akachukwu whose joy knows no bounds as exhibited in her dancing steps prayed that God’s presence take over the new couple’s family from day one.
Mrs. Akachukwu said: “My heart is filled with joy and happiness as my son Emmanuel Chinonso Akachukwu is getting married today to his heartthrob. I pray and say that there will be an open doors for him and his wife. They will be blessed with children ( male and female ), wealth that they will use and take care of their family ,progress is there own starting from today they became husband and wife. God please take charge”.
Father of the Bridegroom represented by the Bridegroom’s uncle, Mr Joseph Akachukwu in his own part said ‘ My heart was full of joy and happiness as I pray to God for them to live in peace. In the next nine months we will hear another good news that will make us to gather again in joy which is to welcome a new born baby. They will born ,train and the children will in turn train them .
“They will live in peace I have told them and I am still advising them to overlook somethings and forgive each other several times a day as husband and wife, because we use one eye to marry. If they take this advice, they are on top.
Savourig her moment of joy, the elated bride , Gloria Chinecherem Enyi described her husband as a good man, thanking God for the opportunity to have him as her husband.
“He is my better half. I love him and I will obey him as my husband and head of the family. I am truly in love.
On his part, the Bridegroom ,Emmanuel Chinonso Akachukwu expressed happiness as a married man,.asking God to take charge. He said he loves his wife beyond imagination, praying God to grant them peace, joy and happiness in the marriage.
He said:”I am fulfilled because I have gotten myself a treasure. And from the bottom of my heart, I am happy that I have her. I call her my other half and what I have she has it .She is divine.
I met her in an odd place where I do not think that I will find love and when we started, we started as friends. I didn’t know she is going to be the love of my life, but, we started talking and we got connected very quickly. From the moment we got connected, I felt I was in love. I didn’t know when I got deep in love with her .I was thinking that I will caution myself but today here I am. I am married and I am grateful to God. In a short phrase; I am fulfilled and this marriage to my love is divine.
They both professed love publicly and prayed God to guide their marriage and love life.
Different types of English ,traditional cuisines and drinks were available in surplus for family, well wishers and friends to enjoy, even as they got ready for their white wedding the next day.
