Wedding Bliss: Gloria Chinecherem, Emmanuel Akachukwu unite in love , make parents proud

It was an exciting moment for Barrister Gloria Chinecherem Akachukwu nee Enyi of Oba in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra state to say ‘I do, in marriage during her wedding to a Business mogul, Mr. Emmanuel Chinonso Akachukwu of Mgbowo in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Gloria’s excitement was palpable though indescribable as the entire congregation cheered her and applauded her expression of true love and respect for the marriage institution, even as Emmanuel was calm ,savouring the moment in conscientious but majestic silence, amidst genuine smiles of one who has found gold for keeps.

Gloria and Emmanuel tied the nuptial knots Saturday 21st day of December , 2024 at Grace City Church Trans Ekulu, Enugu, Enugu State. The wedding ceremony attracted people of class in business, legal profession and all walks of life including Chief Ugochukwu Odinkemere , Chief Kenechukwu Okeke Kelvin, Chief Iyk Nwanoluo , and Chief Osy Nzeako among others.

The Parish Pastor of Grace City Church, Pastor Uche Kalu charged the couple to be intentional in building their marriage with all they have to ensure it lasts, hence, the need to safeguard their love life from third parties.

Reverend Kalu warmed of poor communication and intolerance capable of destroying their marriage and encouraged them to show understanding always.

He said: “There are few things God instituted Himself, now when He made man in his image. God is a creator and set up two institutions namely -The Church as an institution, and the other is Marriage institution.

“God decided to make man after creating other things and He said that is not good for this man to stay alone and he made the woman.

The cleric reminded them that their marriage foundation begins immediately after being joined in marriage as husband and wife. This marriage foundation, he was asking them to build on God and nothing else.

He encouraged them to understand that marriage institution was instituted by a personality – God Himself, and we all know that no man can be incharge more than the person that produced the thing.

He further asked the couple to use the three ingredients given to man by God -wisdom, understanding and knowledge to build a strong marriage, adding that wisdom builds whereas ,understanding is to establish and knowledge is to fill the rooms.

While harping on tolerance, Reverend Kalu reiterated on the need for them to observe each other because “you may have good thing in mind, but if the atmosphere is not okay, it will not work so observe”.

“Marriage is a place where you will be wrong and right at the same time .

“As a couple, you need to study observe and communicate to each other. Knowledge, wisdom and understanding are certain you must learn how and when to use them however in any level communicate for understanding. Husbands, you need to be patience with your wife and visa vis. As per knowledge ,you need to study books ,your partner too.

The senior Pastor of the Grace City Church ,Rev Miracle Ifeanyi Ede in his contribution said,”The greatest problem we have is Miss but thank God you are graduating from Miss to Mrs.

Pastor Ede warned: “When there is misunderstanding , misinformation,misinterpretation and other MIS that is when there will be problem .Now what the bible is saying is that you have to understand even when you don’t understand.
” The reason you need to understand is that the moment you refuse to understand your prayers will not be heard. You need to understand why she is a weaker vessel and your prayers will not be hindered. The best way to keep in love is ” keep understanding her ” I am talking from about 33 years experience in marriage.

“The bible advises the man to love and in return the wife will submit.It is give and take”.

The Chairman of the occasion Barr. Ethel Bert Odinkemere in his speech urged them to love one another. He equally blessed the couple , prayed and declared that their future will be brighter.

The bride,, Gloria Chinecherem Akachukwu who was fulfilled as a married woman reassured that her love for her husband won’t be compromised as all the teachings by the priests shall be implemented by her to make her home strong and a Christian home.

The groom, Mr Emmanuel Chinonso Akachukwu on his part reassured his wife of his love, and promised to be a good husband.

His words: “I believe that marriage is not what you go in and come out. A constant working on it makes you a better person.

“I fill I have a work to do ,to love my wife and be responsible at the end of the day. I am happy.

“All that the pastor preached today was true and I will keep them for my family to grow from strength to strength. I wish my home to be a true Christian home where Jesus Christ is the pillar.

The Bride’s mother , Dr Chocolate Obasanya Enyi, exuding happiness, expressed gratitude to God for her second daughter’s married life”, praying that the marriage brings forth fruits in form of children, money,connections and happiness.

Father of the Bride, Chief Goddy Obasanya ,popularly known as Nwagadikaibeya, stated: “I am happy. If you look at me, you will notice that I am very happy ,In this their marriage, I pray for long life and prosperity to locate them, and in nine months time, they will carry their baby in Jesus name…..Amen. I wish them long life and prosperity.

The groom’s mother, Elizabeth Ijeoma Akachukwu prayed God to preserve the marriage as the couple have moved from singlehood to married life ,adding that God showers them with open doors. He prayed for good heath,and God’s blessings.

The groom’s father , Chief Ibekwe UcheJohnson said he was at the event to back up his son who was getting married ,adding that he was grateful to God on what He has done for him.

He concluded: by praying for them to live long, get children ,train them and the children will train them and in all they should respect the word of God ,they should bear themselves ,understand that marriage is marriage and once you are married you are one”.

It was all fun and entertainment galore for all friends and family members that witnessed the marriage ceremony.
