St. Micheal youths Nanka celebrate 2020 Harvest and bazaar in style

The Catholic Youths Organization (CYO) of St. Micheal’s Catholic Church Agbligba Nanka, on Sunday celebrated her 2020 harvest and bazaar amidst funfair.

The harvest which was tagged harvest of Divine renewal indeed renewed lives of the youths and their guests as the new Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Herbert Ezeji was in suprised the youths of the parish could plan the bazaar alone despite the ugly situation the country is facing.

Chairman on the occasion, Mr. Uzorchukwu Ezekoye
represented by Mr Osita Obi in his opening remarks applauded the youths for their active participation in making sure that the harvest was a huge success.

He further urged the youths not to behave like hoodlums no matter the situation and participate in destroying people’s property and maiming of lives.

President General Nanka Patriotic Union ( NPU) Chief Paul Chinedu, who was the father of the day told Nanka youths to be good ambassadors of the community by being useful to the community, participate in any Community activities and also be an agent of harmonization not destruction.

Lady Francisca Ngozi Okeke who was the mother of the day, also expressed her gratitude to God for making the harvest a success despite the situation the country is facing.

In her words” God does not work with the crowd”.

The retired principal of Community high school Awgbu , who is also a Board member of the Anambra state Post Primary School Service Commission while elaborating on how God works mysteriously in His ways disclosed that the youth Harvest and bazaar of St. Micheal’s Catholic Church Agbligba Nanka was unique.

While thanking the Chairman of the harvest for his massive support to the youths, attributed the success on God showing Himself in the midst of the few, as those invited were highly supportive.

In his homily, the new Parish Priest, Fr. Herbert Ezeji said that having a complete devotion to Mother Mary and trusting God completely will save one from all tribulations of life and urged youths to always trust God and devout their lives to mother Mary.

He further expressed his gratitude to God and thanked the youths who he scored 75% in performance for standing firm on Jesus’ Christ.

Some children who performed brilliantly during the questions and answers section went home with some gifts including some amount of cash.
