President Tinubu Reacts to Plateau Violence, Vows to Bring Killers to Justice
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has vowed to crack down on those responsible for the k!llings in Plateau State, warning that the Federal Government will act decisively once the perpetrators are identified
Speaking at a meeting with Plateau stakeholders in Abuja, Tinubu urged residents and leaders to provide credible intelligence, assuring that security agencies would move swiftly against anyone found instigating or sponsoring the violence. He stressed that the government would use its full authority to end the cycle of att@cks.
The President also backed the creation of a peace committee made up of former state governors to review past reports and recommend lasting solutions. In addition, he reiterated support for state policing and called for inclusive governance to help reduce tensions in the state.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang described the meeting as historic, noting it brought together all living former governors to chart a path toward lasting peace.
