Nigeria Police College Oji River Concludes Training Of Trainers Ahead Of 50,000 Recruit Intake

The Nigeria Police College, Oji River, Enugu state, has successfully concluded an intensive Training the Trainers Programme in preparation for the anticipated nationwide recruitment and training of 50,000 Police Recruits.

The Commandant, Nigeria Police College, AIG Emmanuel Simon Bretet, psc(+), mspsp, stated that the programme was organized to equip instructors, facilitators, and training personnel with contemporary knowledge, practical education, and development skills across police training institutions nationwide.

According to the Commandant, the College remains fully committed to the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, of building a professionally competent, intelligence-driven, accountable, and citizen-focused Police Force capable of effectively addressing contemporary security challenges and enhancing public confidence in policing services.

He emphasized that the success of recruit training is largely dependent on the competence, commitment, and preparedness of instructors entrusted with the responsibility of shaping the next generation of police officers.

Speaking on the significance of the programme, AIG Bretet said the anticipated large-scale recruitment exercise presents a unique opportunity to further strengthen the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force through quality training, professionalism, and human capital development.

The Commandant further assured members of the public that all necessary arrangements are being put in place to ensure that the training environment, instructional facilities, accommodation, logistics, and personnel are adequately prepared for the successful implementation of the forthcoming recruit training programme.
