HON. ANAZODO JOINS ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT TO WELCOME FIRST LADY SENATOR OLUREMI TINUBU

The Executive Mayor of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Hon. Echezona Anazodo, on 10th September joined top government officials of Anambra State to receive the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, during her official visit to the state.
Senator Tinubu was in Anambra to launch key intervention programmes under the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, aimed at supporting women, children, youth, and vulnerable persons across the state.
The First Lady was received at the Government House, Awka, by Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR; his wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo; members of the State Executive Council; traditional rulers; LGA chairmen; and other stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Anazodo described the visit as a landmark moment for Anambra women and families.
“This visit shows that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is touching lives directly at the grassroots. We in Nnewi North are ready to key into all RHI programmes to ensure that our women, widows, and children benefit maximally,” he said.
During the programme, Senator Oluremi Tinubu launched and flagged off four major RHI interventions:
- RHI Economic Empowerment for Women – Grants and tools for female petty traders and entrepreneurs
- Every Home a Garden Initiative – To promote food security at household level
- Scholarships and Educational Support– For indigent students
- Support for Persons with Disabilities and Elderly Persons
The First Lady commended Governor Soludo for his developmental strides in Anambra and urged Ndi Anambra to embrace the RHI programmes for sustainable growth.
In his response, Governor Soludo thanked the First Lady for choosing Anambra as one of the beneficiary states of the Renewed Hope Initiative. He assured her of the state government’s commitment to partner with the federal government to advance the welfare of the people.
The event drew a large turnout of wives of LGA chairmen, market women leaders, youth groups, and women organisations from across the 21 LGAs of the state.
Hon. Anazodo was accompanied by members of the Nnewi North Executive Council and women leaders from the LGA.
