My Journey as a Singer and Seamstress

Singing is my voice, my comfort, and my passion. It’s how I express myself, tell my story, and connect with others. From the moment I sing my first note, I feel alive and free. I am excited to take you on a journey through my hobbies, achievements, and academic pursuits that has transformed my life in ways I never thought possible.
Truly, my love affair with singing began when I was just a teenager. I joined the choir to improve on myself under the guidance of my talented music director and choir master. I learned to harness my voice, control my breath and convert emotions through singing. Singing has always been my way of comfort, expression of joy and creativity. Singing is my sanctuary. I have had the privilege of performing in front of audiences and I look forward to continue to share my voice with the world through singing.
More so, while growing up I spent hours singing along to my favorite songs. As I grew older my love for singing deepened. Singing taught me more than just techniques and performance skills. It taught me about discipline, hard work and perseverance. It taught me to take risks, to step outside my comfort zone and to trust myself. These skills have benefited me far beyond music itself influencing my approach to sewing.
As a Seamstress, I still remember the day I first picked up a needle and thread, little did I know it will lead me to where I am today. I was fascinated by the way the fabric responded to every stitch. Some sense of creativity came with bringing simple ideas to life. I am still learning the ins and outs of sewing, but I’m hooked. There is something soothing about creating something from scratch.I discovered that sewing wasn’t just about stitching together pieces of fabrics but about self expression, patience, storytelling and problem solving. I love how sewing allowed me to bring my ideas to life, experiments with different textures, colors and create something truly unique.
Meanwhile, while sewing has brought me immense joy and fulfillment. It is not without its challenges. One of the biggest challenges I faced was the desire to create something flawless and professional looking. There have been times when I would spend hours working on a project only to rip it off and start all over again because of a small mistake I made. It is really frustrating and annoying. Secondly, challenge I encountered is self doubt. As a beginner, I often question my ability to create something truly beautiful and functional. I will always compare my work to others feeling like my own is not good enough. Also, another frustrating and provoking challenge was that my Madam will always tell me that customers are always right, even though they were wrong just to keep more customers especially during “Seasonal Time”.
Despite these challenges, I have learned to embrace them as opportunities for growth and learning. I have come to understand that perfection is not the goal, but rather the journey itself.
In conclusion, as I continue to navigate my hobbies and achievements I am excited to see where life takes me. With a heart full of passion and a mind full of curiosity, I’m ready to take on new challenges and make my mark on the world.
