My emergence as Igboukwu monarch divine – Idu Azike

The traditional ruler of Igboukwu ancient kingdom, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, His Royal Highness, Igwe Ezeobidike Alex Ejikemeuwa Azike, Idu 111, hinted weekend that his emergence as the Igwe was divine as it is never understandable if he begins to explain what transpired.

Explaining further he stated that “Immediately after the election, my co-contestants came and congratulated me while the second person followed me to my house where we rejoiced together. In short, it seems as if nothing happened.

”For having massively supported me, I’m fulfilled, I pray God to bless the people of Igboukwu, more especially those who brought out themselves to make sure that peace which we lack for the past 5 or 6 years be restored in the community and I promise to maintain peace which is already in existence.

”As my priority is to bring peace to this
community, let those who are offended in the course of election of the Igwe, which resulted to crisis, forgive each other, let all Igboukwu people confess to God, forgive one another and embrace peace because peace brings all good fortunes.

Igwe’s wife, Lolo Amaka Azike in her contribution said that since it is the will of God and the wishes of Igboukwu people that her husband will lead them, ”let God through my husband grant the wishes of Igboukwu Community”.

Hon.Prince Chibueze Oforbuike, the Aguata Local Government Caretaker Committee Chairman said that “I am very happy to witness this big event and I think history is being made today, not just only in Igboukwu, Aguata Local Government, but in igboland in Anambra State.

”It is a thing of joy that after so long time, the people of Igboukwu have made history today with the coronation of their traditional ruler, I expect that we are going to work together. At the level of Local Governments, we expect the traditional rulers to drive down all our intentions to all the communities we have.

“My message is that other communities should emulate what happened here today, let them solve their crisis and be part of the history that is being made here today and my advice to the Igwe is to be a man of the people, lead his people very well and add to the history that is made today.

In his words,the President General of Igboukwu, Sir Arch Christian Ike said that ”it has being a problem since the demise of Idu 11, our people were struggling for the vacant position, going to court, going every where.

”On the 8 of April 2023 as God may have it, we have an election with the support of Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Community and Chieftaincy Affairs,a we have a successful election, we elected Igwe Alex,the people’s choice.

”On the 10th April 2023, the Committee under one week fixed the date of the coronation to be on the 15th April because we have loose a lot from the government.

”I thank God, for the past 5 years, we have tried all possible means to get this done, but by Gods interventions, all things are successful.

In his contribution,the immediate past president of Nze na Ozo, who is also the secretary of coronation committee, Chief Ezechukwu Umeokwonna described Igwe Azike as an answered prayer to the Community, that his(Igwe) God is fighting for him(Igwe), stressed that immediately he was sworn in, everything started playing out positively.

”The opposition group is the highest donor for the coronation among other groups because the coronation was done by free will donation.

“He is the least expected among other contestants, both in age, finance and other things, it is like a magic because immediately the election started all votes goes to him after the disqualification of one of the contestants on the basis of being a Chief upon vying the post of Igwe which is against the constitution of the Igboukwu community.

”I see willingliness in him, he have started doing what is expected of him which is standing on the truth,a very compassionate mind with a heart of lion.
