Killing the Country for one Man’s Ambition

Since Sen. Bola Tinubu of the APC declared that it was his turn (Emilokan) to be president, the entire Nigerian space has been polluted with all manner of mischief, malice, corruption, fabrication and pure evil. He infamously charged his lieutenants to ‘…at all cost fight for political power, grab it, snatch it and run: with it’. Hence the worst breed of bigots, traitors and mendacious talents were unleashed to achieve this ignoble mandate which they did to the best of their wicked abilities.

But on the presidential Election Day, February, 25, it became obvious that the Nigerian people had rejected his feudalistic mentality and Machiavellian style of politics. As the results poured in and showed that HE Peter Obi of LP was cruising to victory, they quickly activated the next level of their perfidious plan. Apparently with their connivance, INEC brazenly by-passed its own laws to hurriedly declare APC candidate, Bola Tinubu president with rigged, doctored and falsified results contrary to all expectations.

The impunity of Feb 25 emboldened these rascals for the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial elections which turned out to be the worst election in Nigeria’s recent history. In Lagos especially, ethnic jingoists and revisionists attacked, maimed and even killed fellow Nigerians who would not vote for the candidate of APC. Sad! But should Nigerians allow their country to be dragged down this lane of destruction because of one man’s ambition? Not at all. Our judiciary and well-meaning Nigerians must therefore rise up and ensure that this criminality and rascality do not stay for the sake of posterity.
