Journalist’s mother dies in her hands talking and laughing with her

A journalist with the Anambra State Broadcasting Service, Awka Mrs Ekwi Ajide has lost her mother, Mrs Felicia Eluemuno Digwo nee Nweke-Umetali.




The journalist’s late mother, Felicia died in her daughter’s hands as they talk and laugh out aloud. Ekwi was distraught.

She was originally from Umuezunu Nkwelle Awkuzu before marriage to the Digwo Mmezeli family of Dusogu village Awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area.




Mrs. Felicia Digwo started her family life with frying akara hence many still call her Elue Akara till date but she is now synonymous with selling dried fish (Azu okponku) at Nkwo Awkuzu.

She is an Anglican and a member of the mother’s guild. She is 76 years old and of Oyilagu age grade.
