The Pain Institute owned by Dr. Godwin Maduka, a Nigerian-American medical doctor, and pharmacist cum physician has had a notable career and indeed an inspiring one in US.

The Pain Institute boasts of no fewer than 20 specialist Medical doctors, Medical staff/physician, over 250 medical personnel and over 150 allied employees.

Dr Maduka, also a reputable Philanthropist was born and raised from a humble background in the hitherto remote community of Nkerehi (now Umuchukwu), in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, but he broke all barriers to succeed by God’s grace.

The story of his life has the makings of a legend because he rose from poverty to being educated in Harvard as a medical doctor and just in his early 60s doing so much to serve God and humanity.

The depth and reach of what Godwin Maduka has achieved, since his sojourn to America in the 80’s and qualifying as a Chemist and going on to obtain a Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D) and a Post Graduate Medical Degree (MD) from Harvard, is truly amazing.

In about 25 years of practice, Dr. Maduka has built six hospitals from the scratch in the Las Vegas ,Nevada area. His Las Vegas Pain Institute has been rated the top #1 in Pain Management in the U.S. by the health inspection community. The center includes specialists in pain medicine, radiology, wellness, and physical therapy.

Dr. Godwin Maduka’s specialties include chronic and acute pain management, anesthesiology, and interventional pain management. The center works in tandem with diagnostic imaging and family medicine practitioners. Besides his work in Las Vegas, he is rated number one pain management doctor in the world. This is not only good news to Nigeria but Africa.

An adjunct clinical professor at Touro University school of Osteopathic medicine who still finds time from his hectic practice to teach.

Dr Maduka had always loved the academia and being an adjunct professor at Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine gave him the opportunity of fulfilling that dream of being in the academia and giving back to the community.

This also gave him the opportunity to inspire and impact positively on the up and coming student physicians. Thus, catching them young.

He is also a clinical assistant professor of surgery at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Medicine.
