Ex-MD National Light, Obi Nwude laid to rest in Nri

A consummate journalist and media manager, late Sir Michael Amobi Nwude’s remains have been laid to rest.

Sir Obi from Nri who died at the age of 65, was the former Managing Director of the Anambra Newspaper Printing Cooperation. He was survived by his wife, six children and four grandchildren.

Until his death , Sir Obi was the Special Adviser to the Anglican Bishop of Awka , Right Reverend Alex Ibezim, PhD and the President of Anglican Father’s Fellowship, Awka diocese.

In a condolence message, the National President,Comprehensive Secondary School, Nawfia Old Boys Association, Dr Oliver Onwughalu who described the Late Obi Nwude as a man of noble and excellent character called on the children to uphold the good legacies of their late father and further prayed for the repose of his soul.

Also, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Newspaper Printing Cooperation Sir Chuka Nnabuife noted that death is a moment of lesson for the living.

Sir Chuka who was represented by the chairman of welfare in the organization, Mr Reuben Affor, urged the children and other extended family members to bear the loss with fortitude as God knows the best.

On his part, the son of the late media guru, Engineer Obiajulu Nwude who spoke on behalf of the family regretted the sudden passing on of their father but believed it was the will of God.

Mr Obiajulu noted that their father as a mortal may have made some mistakes while on earth but expressed hope that he will find favour and mercy before God as he prayed that his soul be granted eternal rest.

Son in law to Obi Nwude and a clergyman , Rev Engr Joseph Okereke who was everywhere running around to ensure guests are ok and a successful burial given to Nwude described his father in law as a great man.
