By Felix Oti Awka
The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc, minps, PhD, has re-echoed the Inspector-General of Police’s directives against indiscipline, corruption, and abuse of office.
Speaking in Awka on June 30, 2026, CP Orutugu cautioned officers against extortion and any conduct capable of bringing the Nigeria Police Force into disrepute.
“Officers must remain courteous, professional, and respectful in dealing with members of the public,” he said.
“The confidence of our people is one of our greatest operational assets, and we must continue to earn and sustain it.”
He urged all personnel under the command to uphold professionalism at all times in order to maintain public trust.
