COVID-19: Vic Phranc Boss, Chief Francis Ogugua distributes rice in Ukwulu

The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Vic Phranc Nigeria limited and Hotel De Bentley limited Abuja, Chief Francis Ogugua has distributed fifty (50) bags of 50kg bags of rice as palliatives to cushion the effect of Coronavirus pandemic in Ukwulu.

Chief Ogugua who is also the Owelle of Ukwulu Kingdom, Dunukofia local government area, Anambra state, distributed the palliatives through some of the Churches in Ukwulu.

The Churches were Immanuel’s Anglican Church, St Peter’s Anglican Church, St Theresa’s Catholic Church, St Aloysius Catholic Church, Christ Holy Church , (Odozi Obodo) and Apostolic Church of Nigeria.

This according to Owelle Ukwulu kingdom when contacted to confirm the news flying around in his Community by our correspondent were to ensure it gets to those who really needed the palliatives during this lockdown and not to the general public.

” Yes I did that and through the Church is the best way to ensure it gets to the down trodden in the community who needed palliatives in a time like this. It’s not for everyone”.

Chief Ogugua according to sources in the community had supported Church leaders and government at the local government level with his food apostolate to reduce the plight of COVID-19 pandemic in the society.

In an interview with the immediate past President General, Ukwulu town union, Chief Israel Nnaemena on the development in the community, he confirmed the distribution of palliatives by Chief Ogugua and described it as one of the least of things Chief Ogugua did for the community.

Chief Nnaemena informed that Chief Ogugua had in the past shared trailers of rice and cash to the community during Christmas festivities.

He said he had recently empowered 100 widows and widowers with non refundable N50,000 each making it N5M to put in their business or start a small business.

He reminded that Chief Ogugua had paid school fees of students of Community Secondary school for years before ,he was elated to be paying also for the WAEC fees of every student sitting for the exam in the community school which he has also done for 2 years running.

The former Ukwulu PG informed that the CEO/MD Vic Phranc Limited and Hotel De Bentley limited Abuja has helped Ukwulu kingdom in a lot of ways including scholarship to numerous students and sponsoring of community and Church projects.

He said further that Chief Ogugua had built a church hall, bought land for a church and committed millions in community and Church development without publicity. He called on others who are wealthy to emulate Chief Ogugua in charity and community service.
