AMANUKE: Igwe Dennis Ezebuilo Bemoans Lack Of Govt. Presence, Basic Infrastructure.

His Royal Majesty Igwe Dennis Ezebuilo, Ogbodudu 11 of Amanuke Eri Kingdom in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State has expressed sadness over the lack of state government’s presence in his kingdom.

Igwe Dennis Ezebuilo stated that Amanuke Eri Kingdom is a blessed and fertile agrarian communities just few kilometres drive from the state capital Awka and made up of 10 villages.

He bemoaned the near absence of government presence in the renowned food basket Town of the state despite the closeness of the peaceful town to Awka the State capital.

He Stated that he is pained that the communities under his domain has been relegated to lack and suffering as a result of decayed and delapitated infrastructure and basic amenities in the town.

The Traditional Ruler called on the Government to match it’s word with action before the raining season set in and construct new roads in the town as well as complete the abandoned connecting roads that leads to the agrarian town.

He stated that better access roads in the town will led to an increase in the amount of agricultural produce transported from the town.

In his words “presently, Conveying farm produce to markets is at a very high cost, A road development project will help improve access roads in Amanuke and catalyse the growth of new small and medium businesses within the agrarian community such as sawmills, poultry farms, feed processing plants, fish farms and new markets, reduce the transportation costs, spark business development.

He called on the Government of Anambra State to rise up to the occasion and demand of leadership by giving a facelift to Awka North General Hospital in Amanuke which has been taken over by rodents, reptiles and other dangerous creature as the hospital has no doctor and healthy workers befitting a general hospital.

He urged the senator representing Anambra Central in the Red chamber, Sen. Uche Ekwunife and the member representing Awka North and South in the federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Sam Onwuaso to attract Constituency projects to the peaceful Town as the people have long been neglected.
