Uzodinma, A Pragmatic Leader Says Mbonu

Overwhelmed by the tremendous achievements of Senator Hope Uzodimma of Imo State within the last five months of assumption into office as the Executive Governor of the Eastern Heartland State, Hon Nkechi Mbonu has described the Share Prosperity mantra Governor as a pragmatic leader.

Hon Mbonu who is the Interim Management Committee (IMC), Chairman of Okigwe Local Government Area said this on Thursday in her office at the Council’s secretariat when the Traditional Rulers of the area led by HRH Eze l.C Ndukwe paid her solidarity cum courtesy visit.

She pointed out that since the creation of the State and it’s subsequent administrators that it’s the APC administration of Senator Uzodimma that has remember the council area in terms of commitment towards infrastructural development and transformation.

The Chairman also reported her adminstration’ harvest of achievements in the last three months she has been on the saddle of the Council area which includes rehabilitation of feeder roads, empowerment of women and youths as well as reconstruction of the deplorable state of the Council’s secretariat among many other feats.

Hon Mbonu while commending the Traditional Rulers for their support and peaceful disposition in their various autonomous communities, she further canvassed on the need for people of the area to appreciate the concern of the State Government towards their welfare.

She also used the opportunity to educate the Royal Father’s that Corona Virus pandemic is real and advised them on the need to tell their subjects to strictly adhere to all the health instructions concerning the deadly disease.

Earlier, the members of Okigwe Traditional Rulers Council led by their Chairman, HRH Eze I.C Ndukwe said that they are at the Council’s secretariat to demonstrate their support and appreciation of the efforts the IMC, Chairman have done in the overall development of the Council area within the short period of her assumption of Office.

Eze Ndukwe also said that they are at the Council’s secretariat to see the Chairman so as to help them reach Governor Uzodimma to thank him for the political appointments given to most of their illustrious sons and daughters.

He expressed satisfaction on the concern and commitments of the State Government in the development and transformation of the council area and enjoined them not to relent.

Traditional Rulers further assured the council Chairman of their unflinching support to her adminstration as well as the state government and prayed for God’s infinite mercy and grace to be upon her and her administration.
