Unizik staff drowns at Trig Point hotel Nibo: Distraught Father laments

Father of the 23 years old Chinecherem Nwankwo who got drowned at Trig Point Hotels Nibo swimming pool has raised alarm on the actual reason behind the death of his only son and child.
Speaking to www.odogwublog.com Mr Alexander Nwankwo who spoke in tears wondered why his son who left home hale and hearty should die in such circumstances.
Mr Nwankwo, of Akpu, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, confirmed that Chinecherem was his only Son.
While weeping, Mr Alexander expressed doubt on the story behind the death of his son as he identified the late Chinecherem as a Pro diver, who naturally cannot be drowned in flowing river less a swimming pool.
‘We swim very well in my family, because we have rivers, am still confused over what happened that Chinecherem got drowned in a swimming pool, this is very hard for me to bear,’ he wailed.
As at the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, when contacted said he is yet to be briefed.

Unizik staff drowns at Trig Point Hotel Nibo amidst confusion
There is confusion surrounding the death of alleged staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka at Trig Point Hotels Nibo.
The 23 years old Chinecherem Nwankwo allegedly drown at the hotel’s swimming pool Sunday.
Circumstances surrounding the death of Chinecherem is still suspicious.
An eye witness said he was the only son and child of his surviving parents. He was from Orumba, Anambra state.
Chinecherem fondly called Chyboy by his peers was said to be a great diver and therefore impossible to have drowned at the pool.
They suspected a foul play but efforts to get the hotel management to react to the true reason why he died based on their investigation so far failed.
His cousin Cronel Onyedikachukwu Nkemakonam , a facebook user said: ‘I still don’t know how to join in spreading this kind of news! My cousin Chinecherem Nwankwo passed on at Trig Point Hotel, Nibo swimming pool? How ? An only son? Just like that? At 23? Which kind talk be this ? what is happening! Chy boy is pro diver as far as I know! No trace of water! No bruise! Its well. Rest in peace nnaa”

Chinecherem and parents are Awka residents until his untimely death.
Odogwublog.com couldn’t reach the Police and management of Unizik to ascertain the veracity of the allegations, but is working on that.
