THEEE Initiative Empowers 3000 widows, orphans, dedicates honour to fallen committee members

Target Health, Education and Economic Empowerment (THEEE) Initiative, a non -governmental and non-profit organization founded by Lady U & Victor Obi Anadiume from Enugu Akwu-Achi community in Orji River local government area of Enugu State at the weekend empowered about three thousand (3,000) orphans and vulnerable children, widows and widowers and the less privileged people in the spirit of Christmas.

On annual basis since 2010, THEEE Initiative empowers people and this year 2021 initiative was dedicated to two fallen members of the committee managing the NGO, late Engr. Darlington Ikechukwu Anyalebechi and late Mr Anthony Ngwu for their efforts and contributions and growth and achievements of the THEEE Initiative.

Officiating a Church Service to herald the event, Vicar Holy Trinity Anglican Church Akwu Achi, Ven Arinze Okafor encouraged Christians to emulate Lady U and Victor Obi Anadiume’s philanthropic gestures since it’s better to give than to receive.

He prayed for life and good health upon the family to enable them to sustain the legacies in giving annually to thousands of people unconditionally.

www.odpgwublog.com reports that the event which took place at the sole sponsor’s compound (Mr Victor Obi Anadiume) witnessed the distribution of items in their thousands including Wrappers, bags of rice, tomatoes and Cash to widows, Widowers, Indigents, Orphans, and physically challenged persons,Umungbu and Gbalagu families in Enugu Akwu Achi community in Oji River local government area of Enugu state.

According to the chairperson Mrs Ifeoma Anyalebechi, the sole sponsor /Chairman  Mr Victor Obi Anadiume and his wife Lady U in their wisdom said that poverty and penury situation within the immediate host community, Enugu Akwu Achi and beyond necessitated the establishment of the organization and to assuage the growing menace of poverty through Target Health, Education and Economic Empowerment Initiative.

 Anyalebechi said: “THEEE Initiative was aimed to target and jump-start business enterprise at the grassroots community level, that empowers beneficiaries to live with the dignity in other to meet the global economic challenge and alleviate poverty within Enugu state in particular and Nigeria as a whole and diaspora.

Meanwhile,  THEEE Initiative has empowered over 20 thousand beneficiaries since its establishment in various ways such as sponsoring medical treatment within and outside Nigeria, Sponsoring sportsmen and women within and outside Nigeria for professional careers, promoting the security of lives and property by providing Nigeria police force with needed security gadgets, maintenance of patrol vehicles to mention but a few.

“THEEE provides the community with clean and potable water by sinking borehole that was reticulated to the whole community and encouraging the religious organizations by providing logistics, donating vehicles  and funds.

‘Annually, for past 15 years, it has constantly continued to celebrate Christmas and New Year period with the less privileged members of the society especially the widows, blinds etc.

The initiative went a step further to initiate an interest-free soft loan for people to borrow and return to empower people to buy commercial motorcycles, farming businesses etc and granting of scholarships to less privileged and brilliant students at different levels of education.

‘THEEE Initiative has donated 16seater transport bus to, Mr Julius Madu, Holy Trinity Church, Akwu Achi, vigilante group ( Neighborhood watch) and Ojiriver Progressive Association.

‘Others are Cash donations to St John’s Catholic, Church, St. Mathias Catholic Church, Akwu Achi, Ikenaeze Primary School, Enugu Akwu Achi, Mr Madu Agwuchi Udegbunam of Eco sound system and #10 million for economic empowerment program.

‘This year’s event is being dedicated to the honour and remember Engr. Darlington Ikechukwu Anyalebechi and Mr Anthony Ngwu are both late for their efforts and contributions and growth and achievements of THEEE.

‘Some of the beneficiaries, Ernest Ndubisi Iframe,(Brazil), Chima Okafor, Susan Chukwu, Amarachi Arinze, who expressed happiness and Joy thanked the Sole sponsor ( Mr Victor Obi Anadiume and his Wife Lady U for remembering the poor and less privileged. They have been doing these for years and, prayed God for long life upon him and members of his family.

As well, Obianusi Maria, Catherine Udo, Cecilia  Onyebueke, Regina  Obiero were among those that sang and danced to show their happiness and said “Eze Nwa Anadiume told us not to bother about the price they are selling  Rice and cloths in the market that he will take care of it now this is it.  He was named Eze  ( King)  he will be alive to be king in Jesus name Amen. 

Other reactions include Amarachi Arinze who said her clothing and feeding was made possible by the Eze (King who is the sole sponsor) for years and urged the community to declear prayers on the head of the Anadiume family.
