Tansian University honours Valentine Ozigbo, Six Others At 7th-12th Convocation Ceremony

Governorship candidate in 2021 governorship election in Anambra State, Mr Valentine Chineto Ozigbo and six (6) others were on Saturday awarded the Doctorate Degree in Business administration of the Tansian University, Umunya Anambra State for their contributions in advancing society in the state and country at large.
This honor was given to them during the 7th-12th combined convocation ceremony of Tansian university, Umunya.
Other awardees include , Kingsley Udechukwu (Banking and Finance),
Onyeso Emmanuel ,Bar. Adaora Vivian Offor ,High Chief Simon Egbogu ,and Barr Prophet Ejike Nwachukwu.
Earlier on , the new Chancellor of Tansian University , Senator Victor Umeh in his speech congratulated the graduates and said:
“This convocation will now on be an annual event not combined program again.
“It is with very active disposition that I accepted to serve as the Chancellor of Tansian University Umunya. I did so because of my unwavering view that Education is the bedrock of development in all aspects of life. There is a saying that Knowledge is power.
“Education for our young ones is a sure way of securing a sure future for all of us.
He urged the Students, education community, members of staff , friends and well-wishers especially those being honored to give the school a new life both in infrastructure and other facilities that will help in quality learning.and research in the University.
” I undertake to put in my best in advancing the course of Tansian University.
However , the Pro-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Nkechi Theresa Obiekezie, in her speech congratulated the awardees and charged the graduates to be true ambassadors of Tansian University.
She said further: “We are not sending you out. We expect that you move ,get to the world , when in the world and please remember you are part of Tansian University .
” You are expected that you give back to the society and today again we are going to admit into this family of Tansian university , six great men and a woman as ambassadors of this university . We are proud of them and we believe in them as members of this family . We are running this institution with generator.
She equally used the opportunity to ask for help from all well meaning Nigerians to connect the institution to the national grid.
In the same vain, the Vice- Chancellor of the University , Prof . E. O Nwadialor congratulated the awardees and the graduates for identifying with Tansian University at this trying moment, hence he is was hopeful the institution has bounced back for great exploits.
He siad further: “The quality of our degree is a testament to academic excellence and learning , our quality assurance system ensures the discipline and quality products with zero tolerance to misconduct.
” Our product are trained and equipped to offer solution when they encounter new challenges.
” Our programmes have continued to enjoy accreditation year to year , the following has been presented to National Universities Commission ,NUC and we have been granted accreditation. These include: Accountancy , Biochemistry , Economics , Banking and Finance,Business Administration,Political science etc.
” Also in 2022 ,the following presented and it was approved Law, Mass communication. Education, Guidance and Counseling, Education Management etc.
” The new undergraduate programs are Public Administration , Information and Communication Technology , Radiograph ,Medical Laboratory Science among others.
” Today, I am glad to inform you that all our 22 undergraduate programs are approved by National Universities Commission.
” With a great honor , I announce to you that the Nursing and Midwifery of Nigeria has just accredited our Nursing school, and School of Post Graduate Studiesis on.
“I am glad to announce the best graduating student as Miss Oluchi Anthonia Umeaso from Department of Microbiology with final garde of 4.96.We are proud of you.
The best graduating student , Miss Oluchi Anthonia Umeaso in her remarks on behalf of other graduating students, advised her fellow students to study had to be on top and equally educated them to believe that education is not a scam.
