St. Paul University Secondary School Holds Farewell Service, Prizegiving Ceremony

Saint Paul’s University Secondary School, Nibo-Nise has conducted its graduation, 2021 valedictory service and prize-giving ceremony.

The event saw thirty-four graduating students take part in different activities scheduled to make the day a colourful one.

The event also attracted the Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, members of the clergy, Parents Teachers Association, students of the school, among others.

Advising the students, Bishop Ibezim urged them to be good ambassadors of Christ and the school, urging them not to fail their parents, their alma mater and the church.

He harped on the need for them to shun any form of social immoralities, and called on parents to always create time to monitor the affairs of their children.

Earlier in a sermon, the Clerical Synod Secretary of Awka Diocese, Venerable Clement Mgbemena, encouraged the graduating students to continue to be salt of the world and never forget the knowledge and skills they have acquired from the school, and know that success comes through hardwork.

The principal the School, Reverend Joseph Onyibo, in his address recounted the successes that the school has recorded in learning and social activities and commended Archbishop Ibezim, the school management, old boys and parents for their moral and financial support to the progress’s recorded so far.

Some of the graduands, including Nwachukwu Chikamso, Chinedu Okerulu and Chidinma Odoh appreciated the efforts of their teachers and parents and promised to continue to be good representatives of the school.

The event featured presentation of prizes to the best students, special thanksgiving and cutting of the graduation cake.
