HRM Ikechukwu Akpudo, Ezeigbo of Kano and the President general of all Ezeigbos in diaspora has slammed those agitating for Igbo presidency in 2023 noting that such agitations are pipe dreams which will not happen as many factors which are self inflicting are against the people of South east to realise presidency.

Speaking to newsmen during a celebration of eating of new yam ceremony which he celebrated for his people of his home town Eziowelle , Idemili north LGA, recently.

HRM Akpudo a successful Kano State business mogul and auctioner flanked by Ichie elect III of Ozalla kindred Eziowelle, Chief Angus Ifeanyichukwu Atune and Chairman Ogbeozalla Community, Chief Jideofor Akpudo bemoaned lack of unity, selfishness, political aparthy etc as some of the greatest hindrance on why the Igbos are not thriving in national politics as they are excelling in bussinesses.

Ezeigbo Kano who has sojourned many states and countries advised Igbos to be one and emulate the northerners saying that the later understands national politics,has one voice and knows how to get what they want in every election and political dispensation.

Speaking on the detained IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, he stated that he would be release soon noting that he is aware that almost every concerned Igbo stakeholder was working round the clock for him to be released.

He further advised the youths to be peaceful and shun violence urging them to be law abiding as well distance themselves on election rigging, cultism, violence, assasinations and bloodshed.

The trio of HRM Eze Ikechukwu Akpudo, Chief Angus Ifeanyichukwu Atune and Chief Jideofor Akpudo in their separate speeches reiterated that celebration of New yam was a period of Thanksgiving to God and enjoying together with family and friends in the spirit of togetherness saying that celebration of new yam has been a generational culture practiced from the time of their ancestors.
