Septuagenarian caught red handed, raping 8 year old girl in Anambra

A shameful incident struck Umuike village in Awka, Anambra State as a 70 year old man was, Tuesday, caught red handed raping a child of 8 years.
www.odogwublog.com gathered that the mother of the victim, Mrs Florence Obidike, sent her daughter (the victim), whose name was not disclosed, on an errand but hours passed by and the girl was no where to be found.
It was learnt that Mrs Obidike raised alarm concerning the whereabout of her child that attracted neighbors who she pleaded to help her find her missing child. However, little did she know that the little girls was cornered by an old man, Mr Bartholomew mmuobuka, living in her neighborhood
According to an eyewitness, the search for the little girl was ongoing when one of the neighbors went to the old man’s compound for a routine check as part of the search.
On getting to the old man’s house, the old man had failed to lock his door in his desperado and was caught in the shameful act. The sight of the incident prompted the neighbour to raise an alarm which attracted attention of the entire neighborhood to the scene.
Mrs Obidike, the mother of the victim could not hold herself as she was left utterly devastated watching in tears, her child lying lifeless on the bed and bleeding profusely.
The victim was subsequently arrested by security operatives after thorough beating by angry mobs, while the little girl was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical attention.
