Selling Your Land to Japa Is Foolish Thinking” — Pastor Dolapo Lawal
The Lead pastor of The Zoe Household Global Pastor Dolapo Lawal, during his Sunday sermon on ‘the spirit of covetousness’, has said that the popular Nigerian idea of selling off properties, lands and valuables all in a bid to travel out of the country for greener pastures, is nothing but a foolish line of thought.
“It’s covetousness that will make someone sell their land in Nigeria to go and be doing care job in America, f00lish thinking!”, he said.
Pastor Dolapo went on to cite other examples like that of wanting a better car solely because someone else has it, or staying at a job you despise waiting for a promotion just because someone else got promoted, all these he said may look like faith, ambition or motivation, but in actual sense, are just the manifestation of a covetous spirit.
“No one goes overseas and becomes a billionaire”, he added.
He advised that people should stop wanting to covet the lifestyle of living in disapora just because they see the life of those living there through the eyes of social media, stating that it is way more than it seems.
