Reelected Mayor of Idemili North LGA, Hon Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili) has pledged to ensure grassroots development at all Sectors of the economy adding that the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA party will continue to win elections in the LGA.
Nkwoka gave the assurance during a reception held in his honor at the LGA Secretariat, Ogidi shortly after his inauguration on October 3, 2026.
According to Nkwoka, This is the Deputy Mayor Idemili North, Chief D A Anagor. Two of us will be here to unite Idemili North. Anagor is a new face in the executive position of this LGA. Together we shall win elections, and work to win in other areas like environmental sanitation, Health sector and also in the area of security we shall win together.
“At this point, we are no longer campaigning for support. I am not here to tell Idemili North what I will do but tomorrow being October 5th I will start work. We wanted to break that paradox and we achieved it. First in the history of Anambra State did APGA win an election here with over 25,000 votes.
“With exception of Aguata and Awka South LGAs which are the LGAs of origin to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and His Deputy, Onyeka Ibezim respectively, Idemili North LGA had the highest number of votes in the remaining 19 LGAs. As the Federal House of Representative and Senatorial elections draws near come 2027, we shall also break the paradox, all the way.
“Let’s prepare for January 16, 2027. We shall endeavor to massively vote for Hon Ikenna Iyiegbu Onyechimereze, the APGA party candidate for the Federal House of Representative Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, so long as Onyechimereze is ready to play his pert,” Nkwoka quipped.
Hom Ikenna Iyiegbu assured APGA faithfuls and Umu Idemili present that he was very prepared and ready to win the House of Representative Idemili North and South Federal Constituency elections urging everyone to vote for APGA.
Speaking during the reception, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Dr Law Mefor noted that Anambra is APGA land saying that it was the reason why APGA party won the Mayorial seats in the 21 LGAs and Councillorship election in the 326 wards of state.

Dr Mefor said that APGA will still win all the available seats in state for both House of Assembly, Federal House of Representative and Senate come 2027 general elections urging Ndi Anambra to vote for President Bola Tinubu who is the APGA party presidential candidate for 2027 general elections.
Dignitaries present who advised the reelected Mayor to continue upholding the Dubai/Taiwan Mantra of the Solution Governor include The Anambra State Tradition Rulers Council ASTUC General Secretary, Igwe Surv. Charles Agbala of Uke, Igwe Godwin Odiegwu of Abacha.
The duo of the Chairman, New Auto Spare parts Market Nkpor, Chief Stephen Ofoleh (Award) and President of Obosi Urban Landlords Association Chief Emeka Asimone (Dikedioramma) commended Chief Stanley Nkwoka for his first tenure urging him to continue the good works he is doing in Idemili North LGA.
“The reward for good work is more work. Nkwoka was re-elected because he did well. There is peace in the markets, improved security and environmental sanitation and waste management under his watch. We believe that as the LGA generates revenue, it shall be put to use in further developing the markets and the entire LGA. Let him not relax because he is still young and could be recommended for further political positions after Mayorship,” they said.
