Peter Obi, Soludo, Okowa, Umeh, Others Felicitate with Archbishop Ibezim @ 60th Birthday Thanksgiving

The Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Dr Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo) today joined Anglican faithfuls under the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger in thanking God for the Life and Ministry of their Archbishop, Rt. Rev. Alexander Ibezim.

The Thanksgiving Service took place at the Cathedral Church of St. Faith Awka in commemoration of his 28 years marriage anniversary, 38 years of priestly ordination, 12 years of episcopacy and 3 years as Archbishop.

The Special Service presided by the Primate of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, The Most Revd. Henry Ndukuba was attended by the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo; the Governor of Delta State and PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa; the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi (represented); the erstwhile Governor of Anambra State, Dame Virgy Etiaba; the Chairman of the Event, Senator Ben Obi; representative of Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka Federal Constituency, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo and his Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Onwuaso, other top government functionaries, traditional and religious leaders etc.

In his congratulatory message, Senator Victor Umeh extolled Archbishop Ibezim for his remarkable achievements in his pastoral ministry especially for his unflinching supports for good governance and betterment of the society.

He described the Prelate as just, hardworking and committed to his priestly vocation as well as compassionate towards the plight of those entrusted to his care.

He thereby prayed for increased anointing and wisdom for the Archbishop as he continues to work in the Lord’s vineyard, and for many more fruitful years.
