PDP holds 3-man delegate election amid rigid security in Ebonyi
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi State chapter, on Saturday, carried out a 3-man delegate election amid tight security in the state.
The election was billed to take place in the 171 political wards located in the 13 local government areas of the state.
Odogwublog reports that security operatives were deployed at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, secretariat found along the Abakaliki/Enugu expressway in the early hours of Saturday to deter any breakdown of law and order.
It was gathered that a 13-man ad-hoc committee sent from Abuja, arrived in Ebonyi State, distributed electoral materials amid tight security.
The Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Chika Nwiba, who spoke to journalists in Abakaliki, said the ad-hoc committee distributed the electoral materials in the 171 political wards.
He added that the 3-man delegate election is currently taking place in the 13 local government areas of the state, adding that the election was moving peacefully.
