Onitsha Trader Gives Soludo 80% On Security

A trader at the Onitsha Bridge Head market, Anambra State, Mr Ikenna Umeh, scored Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, 80 per cent on the water tight security he put in place in the State and urged him not to relent in his resolve to make the State the safest in the country.

Making the commendation, he recalled that during the burial of the former President General, PG, of Uga community, Aguata Local Government Area, late Chief James Umezuruora Egbeigwe, there were fears that the men of the under world would strike to disrupt and attack the mourners.

“Before his administration there was insecurity in the State, I want him to continue in his good work, the state is safer now than previously, I want him to beef up more on security as the Chief Security Officer of the State and I can score him 80 per cent for now on security.

“There is no news of insecurity now in the State. We believe that he will restore the lost glory of the state, he is trying as he had formed the AVG and police to make sure there is adequate security

“As a father, he should collaborate with the newly inaugurated House of Assembly members irrespective of political party affiliation to bring peace and development to the state. He believe in free and fair activities as he was brought in through a peaceful, credible, free and fair election, I believe he will build a new Anambra with the new legislators,” he assured.

Umeh described the death of Egbeigwe as a shock to him adding that he was so related to him and his family stating that he achieved a lot to his community, Onitsha Bridgehead traders and the entire State.

“He was a genius, he stood on the truth, but if you challenge him, you see the other side of him. He was a one time Uga PG and from my findings, he built the shops at Oye Uga market, and was among those that brought development in Uga. He was a legend, Uga will miss him a lot. Here in bridgehead market he has Egbeigwe line named after him.

” There was no bad news during the two-day burial ceremony which showed that he was a man of peace. I advise his children especially the first son to emulate the good legacies their father kept behind,” he advised.
