Rev. Fr. Mbaka

Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka says one of his

‘spiritual children’ will emerge governor in Enugu State in 2023.

Mbaka disclosed this on Sunday during Mass at the Adoration ground, Umuchigbo Nike, Enugu State.

The Catholic priest said that his prayer was for God to give the state Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the spirit of discernment in order to make the right decision on his successor.

“I am not recommending anyone to him, but I am praying that God puts a good man into his heart.

He said that the state needed a Governor who was sane, tested, and trusted personality, a visionary and competent industrialist.

“We are praying for God to give the Governor the wisdom, grace and favour to select a man after God’s own heart.

“We need a compassionate father, empathic and sympathetic personality; someone with a good heart,” he said.

Mbaka said that the Governor had done well by enthroning peace and security in the state, adding that never again will residents of the state tolerate a state of insecurity.

According to him, “there may not be too many flyovers in Enugu but there is peace.”

“By midnight you see the people of Enugu walking about the streets fearlessly without security.

“That is why I am praying for the Governor not to make a mistake because one single mistake will put people in trouble.

“None of the politicians who are aspiring to be Governor will expose their inner will at the moment,” he said.

The cleric said that the masses would not tolerate any political leader who would not work for their wellbeing.

Speaking about one of the gubernatorial aspirants, Prof. Barth Nnaji, who was in the congregation, Mbaka said: “We are welcoming my son, Prof. Bart Nnaji. He is one of the governorship aspirants and he has come to be with us.

“He is a great son of Wawa, a great man in the land of Umuode, a power generator. It will be well with you. My prayer for you is that the will of God be done,” Mbaka said.
