Ogbaru Main Market Traders Drum Support for market leader , Ndubuisi Ochiogu

The caretaker Chairman of Ogbaru Main Market, near Onitsha, Anambra State, Mr. Ndubuisi Ochiogu has been described as a peace Maker and seasoned administrator who keeps  to his words. 

Mr. Ochiogu who vowed to transform Ogbaru Main Market has clocked eleven months in office as care-taker Chairman, but according to the traders who spoke to our correspondent testified that he performed marvelously well more than what the elected past leaders in the Market did in  four years.

According to the Chairman of all  Chairmen in the Market, Mr. Chinyelugo Maduka , he revealed that he had been monitoring Mr. Ochiogu closily with records since he was appointed care-taker Chairman and noticed that his achievements within eleven months are enormous more than the Market past leaders who stayed for four years.

He stated that such monumental achievements of Mr. Ochiogu triggered the whole line Chairmen and Secretaries to bestow him honour of excellent leader, even as he unequivocally restated that Mr. Ochiogu has shown leadership example since the creation of the Market and traders will support him in 2022 Market election.

Mr. Maduka also enumerated the achievements of Ochiogu which he said he recorded as follows; Adequate security net work, Opening of all the water Channels inside and out side Market, Installation of Solar Lights, Regular Power Supply by EEDC, Rehabilitation of Water system, Peace Restoration in the Market, Mounting of Fire Extinguishers in the Market, Attracted #80,000 competition won by 10 traders of Ogbaru Main Market through IgbaBoi Hero larger exhibition.

The care-taker Chairman, Mr. Ochiogu who embarked on waste evacuation exercise within  the vicinity of the Market said that it was a promise he made to traders even though the waste dump are caused by Okpoko inhabitants.

” During my assumption of office as the care-taker Chairman, I told traders that waste dump and human beings can not stay together. I have been evacuating wastes almost every months. But, the wastes are not dumped  by traders because traders have a  place where they throw away wastes. Since we are in season period and about to match into New year, I have to clear it for the benefits of our esteemed customers, traders and Okpoko inhabitants”

Mr. Ochiogu reiterated that his fulfilling all his promises to  traders is also away to buttress the administration of Governor Willie Obiano and the incoming administration of Professor, Charles Soludo, assuring traders that  if by the grace of God he returned as the elected Chairman of the Market in 2022, he would make sure that the Market water system would be adequately circulated in all the  lines inside  the Market and would also mount CCTV cameras.

Commenting, the Secretary general of the Market, Mr. Bucknor Agu affirmed that the waste dumped were caused by Okpoko inhabitants, saying that Mr. Ochiogu through his benevolent nature deemed it necessary to evacuate it.

He noted that Mr. Ochiogu has made name for himself in the leadership of Ogbaru Main Market, pointing out that what he achieved within eleven months as Care-taker Chairman are more than what the elected past leaders did in four years.

Mr.Agu poured accolades on  Governor Willie Obiano and Commissioner for trade, Hon. Uchenna Okafor for bringing in Mr. Ochiogu as the care-taker Chairman of Ogbaru Main Market, describing  the coming of Mr. Ochiogu in the leadership of Ogbaru Main Market as a rescure mission.

The Market sanitation supervisor, Mr. Goodwin Okpala” Sango Investment and Market Chief Security, Mr. Ogbogu Nwanodu called on the State government to provide Okpoko inhabitants wastes dump area and warned traders who they said might be throwing wastes indiscriminately to desist.
