Obiano’s aide declares war against sales of expired goods

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on security Matters, Hon. Osita Nwoye has frowned against the activities of some businessmen who indulged in dirty and deadly acts which constitute threats to the lives of Ndi Anambra.

Hon. Osita Nwoye spoke on the backdrop of a news report which revealed that some traders use stamps, pads, seals, acrylic dissolvers and nail polish removers, specialized markers of different colours for changing the dates of expired products before revalidation and reselling them to the unsuspecting members of the public.

He stated that such dastardly act is a threat to the lives of Ndi Anambra and the government of His Excellency, Chief Sir. Willie Obiano will not leave any stone unturned in eradicating any form of threat to the lives of Ndi Anambra.

He expressed disappointment over the perpetrators of such acts as the expired products are very hazardous to the lives and wellbeing of Ndi Anambra considering the fact that the validity dates have expired.

He further warned supermarket, shops and business owners who indulged in such deadly acts to desist as his office has set up a monitoring team that will ensure that the perpetrators of this dastardly acts have such goods confiscated and are further brought to book to face the law.

He further assured that the identity of the whistle blowers will remain protected.

He called on all Ndi Anambra to collectively support the state government in its efforts to protecting the lives of Ndi Anambra as all round security is the concern of everyone as the government alone cannot fight crime without the cooperation of the citizens.
