Obi, Soludo, others mourn Pa Ezekwueme

Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State, chairman of Anambra State chapter of Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ven. Nweke, among others, weekend paid glowing tribute to the late Pa Sylvester Ezekwueme, father to the State chairman of the Civil Liberties Organization, CLO, comrade Vincent Ezekwueme.
They paid the tribute shortly after the burial mass of the late patriarch at his compound Ugwuakwu village, Umuchu, Aguata Local Government Area, presided over by Fr.Boniface Ezeoke, who urged Christians to emulate live of selfless sacrifice, contentment, tolerance, perseverance, love for God and humanity if they actually want to live in longevity, prosperous and fulfilled life.
He advised them to exempt themselves from all vices and luggages that will be hinderance towards their salvation .
In his tribute, Gov.Soludo, who was ably represented by the caretaker commitee Chairman of Aguata local Government Area, Hon. Chibueze Oforbuike, sympathized with the bereaved family and urged them to engrave in their hearts and minds good legacies of their great father.
Governor Soludo who is eager in road constructions, promised to complete the Ugwuakwu-Ibughubu road to decongest the busy Nkwo-Osete road
Obi, who was represented by former gubernatorial candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Val Ozigbo, called for celebration of the living than the dead.
He called for prayers for peace, justice, equity, morality and good governance.
In his vote of thanks the head of the family Mr Simon Ezekwueme, who doubled as the chairman of the burial committee thanked all those that attended the occasion and prayed to God to grant them journey mercy.
Chairman of CLO, comrade Evangelist Vincent Ezekwueme, stated that his father lived life worthy of emulation and commendation.
“We are grateful for unprecedented love and concern since the death of our late father, Pa Sylvester Obika Ezekwueme. We acknowledged and appreciated condolence messages from former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Anambra State governor, Dr.Pius Ezeife, Hon. Justice V.N Umeh, former Information Commissioner, C. Don Adinuba, CLO, CD, Bishop Edith Ezenekwe, His Lordship Justice Alpha Ikpeama, among others,” he stated.
