Trump Criticizes Boeing Over Air Force One Delays, Considers Alternatives

U.S. President Donald Trump has voiced his frustration with Boeing over delays in delivering two new Air Force One aircraft, saying the company is behind schedule.
Speaking aboard a presidential plane, Trump revealed he is exploring alternatives due to the setbacks.
“No, I’m not happy with Boeing. It’s taking them too long. We awarded that contract a long time ago,” he said. “We may buy or acquire a plane and convert it.”
While ruling out Airbus as an alternative, Trump suggested he might consider purchasing a used aircraft instead.
The contract for the updated Boeing 747-8 planes was initially negotiated during Trump’s first term, with delivery expected in 2024. However, Boeing has now pushed the timeline to 2027 or 2028.
Recently, Trump inspected a 13-year-old Boeing 747-800 formerly owned by the Qatari royal family while it was parked at Palm Beach International Airport.
