Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command, has arrested eight suspects in connection with illegal dealings in adulterated diesel in the state.

NSCDC Commandant in the state, Dr Hammed Abodunrin, while parading the suspects, said they were arrested following a tip-off.

Abodurin said that the Anti-vandal Squad of the command mounted surveillance across the waterways in Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.

“Based on sustained and credible intelligence, our anti-vandal squad got wind of some the suspects and swung into action through monitoring of waterways for about two weeks.

“However, luck ran out on them, as they were sighted and arrested at Abereke area,” he said.
