Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 set up by President Muhammadu Buhari has explained the increase in the number of Coronavirus cases recorded in Nigeria.

Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday, Chairman of the Task Force and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha said the increase was due to the expansion of the testing capacities and activities.

According to the SGF, there were evidence of community spread of the deadly coronavirus disease.

Mustapha said: “Considering the dynamic nature of the response plan, the strategy for testing has been modified and door-to-door testing is now taking place in some communities in Lagos and Abuja.
