Nigeria becomes UK’s top African export market as trade hits £8.1bn

Nigeria has emerged as the UK’s largest export market in Africa, with bilateral trade rising to £8.1 billion.

This followed a UK trade mission to Nigeria involving 43 companies exploring deals in infrastructure, energy, finance and technology.

Officials from both countries said the engagement reflects growing investor confidence and a push to convert diplomatic ties into concrete investments.
