Nibo in Awka South local government today hosted the Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for Senate Anambra Central, Senator Uche Ekwunife.

The occasion which was well attended by well meaning sons and daughters of Nibo featured  speeches by Senator Uche Ekwunife, the PDP Candidate for Awka North/South federal constituency and the State Assembly candidate for Awka South Constituency II.

Addressing the gathering, Senator Uche Ekwunife described Nibo as great town. She noted that Nibo is made up of three political wards and as such posessess high electoral value. Describing the Senate seat of Anambra Central, Ekwunife noted that the Senate is for team players.

She described the current Senator as lacking in team work skills. She noted that she is the first south eastern Senator and the first woman to chair the esteemed Senate committee on Petroleum Downstream.

She urged the people of Nibo whose son, Anene Moses Chigozie is contesting for State house of Assembly to ensure that PDP is delivered in all the three wards in Nibo, assuring them that the impact of her representation will be felt in Nibo and beyond.
