Hon. Okafor observed that the feat was made possible because of the peace that reigns in all the markets and cordial relationship that exists between the staff of the ministry and AiRS.

‘ Before now, our business premise’s offices in various LGAs were dormant. People collect the levies and pocket same. We revived them. We secured the partnership of plaza owners in the state which helped push the IGR of the ministry up’.

” Inspite of last year’s challenges ranging from the outbreak of coronovirus, EndSARS protests and others, we were able to raise for the state about N670m. Previously, the ministry recorded for four years about N270m. It is our hope to improve on the figure this year by blocking leakages in our internal revenue generation and remittance’
