A former aspirant for Njikoka I Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Amicable Onyeka Anigbogu (Orimili), has congratulated Hon. Ikechukwu Okakpu (OKD Jnr.) on his victory in the Njikoka Local Government Area election.

Okakpu emerged victorious in the election held on Aug. 29.

Anigbogu, in an interview, described the victory as divine and a reflection of God’s plan for the people of Njikoka, saying Okakpu’s emergence had created a new opportunity for purposeful leadership and development in the area.

He said his more than two decade relationship with Okakpu had enabled him to understand his character, personality and leadership qualities.

According to him, Okakpu is a man of integrity, vision, wisdom and competence, adding that these qualities had consistently distinguished him as a leader.

Anigbogu also described the newly elected mayor as sincere, focused and purposeful, with a clear vision for the development of the local government.

He expressed optimism that Okakpu’s emergence would give the people of the six communities in Njikoka an opportunity to experience effective leadership and enjoy the benefits of democracy at the grassroots.

He urged political leaders, stakeholders and residents across the six communities to put aside their differences and give the incoming administration the necessary support and cooperation to succeed.

Anigbogu said constructive engagement and collective support from the people would enable the administration to implement its programmes, promote good governance and accelerate development across the local government.

He expressed confidence in Okakpu’s ability to provide purposeful leadership, urging him to remain committed to the welfare of the people and the overall development of Njikoka.
