Following attacks on the chairman of the Imo State Recovery Committee of Government properties, Hon Jasper Ndubuaku, the State Police command on Wednesday paraded 18 youths for the assault.

The youths comprised of males ranging from the age of 20 to 40 years.

Police Public Relations Officer for the State, Orlando Ikeokwu paraded the men at a briefing at the State Police headquarters.

According to him, the command received a complaint about the assault of Ndubuaku and despite his refusal to honour invitations extended to him, the State Police Commissioner, Rabiu Ladodo ordered a full scale investigation into the matter.

Ikeokwu said the task force Chairman was assaulted by 50 persons, even as he added that officers are working round the clock to nab the remaining persons connected with the assault.

He assured that the State is safe and warned that all violators will be stopped and prosecuted.

The suspects include Ajike Ajali (20 years); Elochukwu Ogbonna (20 years); Isaac Musa (22 years); Paul Michael (20 years); James Bitrus (35 years); Ekpe Chukwuebuka; Prince Chinoyerem.

Others are Wisdom Augustine; Kabiru Ali; Peter Eke; Tochukwu Daniel (18 years); Chidiebere Eze; Madu Onyedikachi; Emmanuel Eke (40 years); Uche Patrick; Ugochukwu Uzodinma; and Chidiebere Ikemenem.
