Imo NUJ Secretariat Occupants Allege Unjust Imprisonment, Demand

Accountability Four occupants of the NUJ secretariat in Imo State have decried their detention at the Owerri Correctional Centre without trial, accusing a magistrate court of judicial abuse. They allege their imprisonment was orchestrated by Rev. Godson Nlemchukwu, who seeks control of the NUJ complex. The group called on the Attorney General and judiciary to investigate the incident, highlighting violations of a restraining court order and inhumane conditions in detention. They demanded the return of confiscated property within seven days and the prosecution of those responsible for their ordeal.
