Dr. Okwenna made this declaration last Thursday during his official tour of Ayamelum Local Government.

The former Commissioner expressed shock on Government’s neglect of the Local Government, leading to unfortunate collapse of existing infrastructure and non commencement of new ones in the area. Dr. Okwenna recalled that the first project of Peter Obi administration (which he was part of), in 2006, was the construction of Aguleri – Anaku – Omor – Ifite Ogwari, Omasi road, which opened the area to other parts of the State. He noted that many portions of the road has since collapsed making it difficult for the people to access the Local Government. Dr Okwenna promised to make the reconstruction of the road, his first priority when he is elected governor.
